What a Chiropractic Adjustment Does
An adjustment is a controlled, hands-on movement applied to a stiff or restricted joint in your spine. The goal is better joint motion and less pain.
Dr. Bolt adjusts the low back, mid back, and neck. He picks the method after your exam, based on your condition, age, and comfort.
How an Adjustment Feels
Most adjustments feel like firm, brief pressure. Some include a popping sound from the joint. You stay in control the whole time. Tell Dr. Bolt what feels right and he changes his technique.
If you dislike twisting or popping, ask about Cox® flexion-distraction. This gentle table-based method moves your spine without a quick thrust.
